Job training is rushed and most knowledge is learned by trial and error
CPK offers great training and it looks great on a resume. The reason is it is a corporate company .
The training is a bit intense, but you are well educated about the menu and confident in helping customers. There is test and shadowing
The training really helps to prepare you to serve, especially if you have never served before.
They had an in depth training. However you don't have someone who is "qualified" to train new employees. They just get random servers to read off a script.
We were trained throughly.
The worst thing about the job training is definitely learning all the food. It may have changed since I was there, but they use to make you run through a flurry of information if very few days and you were required to know and list every single ingredient for every single menu item in order to become a member of their team. It was very tasking and overwhelming at times without really strapping down and spending all of your time studying the material. Very hard to balance school/work/life.
Good training for new employees and current employees changing positions.
Actually pretty good. Lots of online and in-person training by experienced servers. Then you have to shadow multiple people, maybe about 5.
They are very in depth in training. Drink knowledge could use some work.
