This company offers extreme flexibility for days off. It also offers great benefits for retirement and health insurance!
Zero flexibility, pitiful insurance options, no (paid or unpaid) vacation until a year, no 401k until 3 years. The company has no HR department and no understanding of benefits. Free lunch no longer a regular thing.
Good health insurance, HORRIBLE vacation time (you only get one week after you've been here for a YEAR), 6 paid holidays
Excellent health insurance coverage, Good benefits overall
Mediocre health insurance and pension plan. Federal holidays are paid. You do get paid some paid vacation but the days can be hard to use because the lack of human resources in the office. The president doesn't like people to work from home but will bend his rules sometimes. Also free lunch on every Tuesday. Sometimes the president will give performance bonuses but they seem pretty random as well.
Here are Cambridge's exact Benefits. Health Care - Blue cross and blue shield, option of three choices, this is nice! 5 Stars Vacation time - You get no vacation time till 8mo to 1 year. After this you get 1 week for the next year, after that year you get 2 weeks, and after that 3 weeks. It caps out at 3. Vacations are hard to take and there are two large blackout periods where you cannot take any vacation time. One of these is right in the middle of the summer. 1 Star Pension Plan - A flat % based on your salary at the end of the year. Sounds great! Except you have to vest 3 years to get it (you'll get this on your 3rd complete year, so the start of year 4) Almost no one makes it to this point. 1 Star Working from home is a very very strict case by case basis. 1 Star Alternate Days - You can take time off by working hours another time. The only problem with this is that extra hours worked on a normal basis do not count towards using this, only hours specifically declared by you and approved will count towards using this. 2 Stars Free lunch on tuesdays - it changes week per week, usually pretty good choice. 3 Stars
