Canon Virginia has very good health insurance. The company pays 80% of the cost of the insurance policy where most other companies pay between 70 and 75%. The co-pays and coverage is really good. Vacation time is definitely one the best the country, between PTO and two shut downs a year it’s hard to beat. Company picnics, holiday party, education ( on site and continuing education), team achievement pay for hourly employees, attendance awards for non-exempt are some things that makes Canon Virginia a step above the rest.
Dental, Vision, Medical Insurance. 401K match. Summer shutdown for 1 week.
Personal time off, shut down time off, 401k match, other competitive wellness packages including healthcare premium choices available
Competitive benefits packages, 2 weeks paid shutdown.
Benefits are excellent for this area!
The best thing about the benefits are probably the discount tickets to events/parks. There are occasional events with the company, like family festivals, to encourage morale a bit but it is rather cheaply done and the rules are quite strict (company Christmas party). Insurance is okay at best-- high costs/deductions along with not enough coverage. 401K is okay. Life insurance... minimal. No sick days-- only PTO (sick day time combined with vacation time). Bi annual shutdowns for some groups but many still forced to work on holidays/shutdown days/weekends.
Good health coverage of your kids if you have any. If you don't have kids than health insurance is underwhelming just like the paycheck.
The benefits package is extraordinary. With the medical and dental coverage, along with the pto, many people stay for the benefits alone
Benefits are overall good, pay is alittle on the low end but overall not bad, insurance is alittle pricey
Benefits are above average for this area and industry. PTO accrual after 5/10 yr. anniversaries not including holidays and two weeks of paid shutdown.
