Cardinal Health's benefits program gives employees the flexibility to select benefits that meet their needs and the needs of their families. We offer health, welfare and financial benefits, along with the information employees need to make informed decisions about their care. Our goal is to promote quality of life, personal performance, and ultimately lower healthcare costs, through preventative care.
Our U.S. benefits program includes:
Health insurance, 401K, Paid time off, Tuition reimbursement.
Very good overall benefit package. Health insurance with HSA is good. 19 days of PTO to start. 4% 401k plan match. The only thing that would make it better is a ESPP.
Time off is pretty generous - no 1 week, then 2 weeks - ~168 hours (~4 weeks) at the start. Wish bonuses made their way further down the chain.
The benefits were inclusive- 401K match, health, dental, eye, RX. Depending on position: stock options and bonus structure.
The health insurance was lacking resemblance of a benefit, Hugh price with little coverage.
19 PTO days to start!
The med plans are all high deductible.
The paid time off is great. Sick time and vacation are all lumped together. Also your insurance starts immediately. You are vested in the 401k as soon as you join.
The pay is absolutely awful. The attrition rate for the inside sales teams are incredibly high because the pay itself is not worth the amount of work and time you put in. Cardinal Health is such a large company that you can put a year into the sales team and then transition to a different role or move onto the next big company. I would recommend this company to someone right out of college...that is the pay $12-$14 an hour with probably anywhere from $100-$300 in commission per month.
I love that they have a reward program for employees called Bravo! However, in order to give someone a reward, it has to be approved through manager, supervision, and high up. So, it is ultimately in the hands of someone that may disagree with your sentiment or did not witness the reason for your gratitude. That part is a little difficult and can be a huge discouragement to employees that want to use the program. But, Cardinal does have wonderful health and wellness benefits including an EAP which can be very helpful.
