    It's pretty comprehensive and overall a great value, but I'm single with no dependents so that's usually the case in my demographic.

    CareerArc offers just a tiny bit above the minimum it can get away with in terms of benefits for a company its size. i.e. Los Angeles requires employers to offer a minimum of 6 sick days a year (I had 9 at my last job in LA). Because CareerArc is just outside LA at Burbank, it only offers 5 (bumped up from 3 only recently). If you have jury duty or a death in the family or other major things that might prevent you from work, company policy says you can take a little time off, but it'll be completely unpaid. You get just 2 weeks of paid vacation and the amount doesn't go up until you've been with the company 5 years. They have a 401K program, but it isn't matched. I realize there are many companies that offer even less and that the expectations US companies are held to in terms of employee treatment is really low, so maybe I should be grateful that we receive the benefits we do, which are "standard." But the amount of messaging you get about how much CareerArc cares about its employees and provides great benefits doesn't match what the company actually offers. CareerArc does have some nice perks. The HR person organizes fun office parties. The office manager gets us good snacks. I appreciate that. But when it comes down to it, in terms of quality of life, I would really benefit a lot more from more paid time off and a matching retirement plan than cheetos in the break room and the occasional pizza party.

    As we are all aware, health insurance is getting progressively more expensive. I so appreciate this company's ability to continue to provide quality benefits to employees and their families and pay the larger portion of such coverage.
