I recently started a job in a small medical office. The doctor is cheap, rude, demanding, condescending, and has unrealistic expectations. The receptionist is a miserable, ticking , tourettes time bomb. The doctor announced that she wanted to take 8 of us to a restaurant Thursday night. I'd rather whistle through 4 unanesthetized route canals! I have no desire to socialize with these soul-less, unconscionable maggots. We don't even get paid for one holiday. How do I get out of this??

If the USA had universal healthcare for all, like most countries do, in what ways would the healthcare system look different? Would universal healthcare coverage help or hurt the current staffing shortage across all disciplines in healthcare settings?

Unfortunately got laid off due to firms lack of ability to sell.. over a million dollars behind projected revenue. Anyone hiring for a manager/sr manager role in healthcare consulting?

My company was bought out by Avista private equity firm. They’ve revoked our ability to rollover more then 40 hrs of PTO (which is sick and vacation leave) we cannot contribute to coworkers in need of PTO hours to care for themselves or a loved one & there is no means for a person to accrue time to take off for a new baby, surgery or to care for a loved one. We now need a doctors note when we take off more then three days. But we can’t take off even when sick because we’re short staffed! WTF!
