I stay for the reasonably priced insurance and access to physicians I know
Does not cover birth control. I had the highest co-pay/lowest coverage, ironically, when working for a health system.
it was good in the past, but recently became expensive and less benefit due to financial problems in 2017
Basically a standard 80/20 plan or you can get a 90/10 plan. CHI contributed a substantial amount of money towards this plan.
I don't participate, It is expensive.
the amount of the doctor bill that the employee is resposible for
Average at best, nothing to sing about to your friends.
If we use their hospitals it is a lot cheaper.
The worst thing about CHI's health insurance was that it got more and more expensive over the period of time I worked there. My cost went up over time. The best thing was something I never used (thank god!): my inpatient stay at any CHI facility would have been free (the stay, not the care - but that's great!)
Great benefits & rates for the health insurance offered. Providers in this area were in abundance, including specialty providers. No issues with the health benefits.
