The BOSS Group supplies all of the standard benefits and does a great job of keeping prices down while still supplying top of the line benefits. But it is the other benefits like unlimited PTO, sabbatical program, birthday and anniversary off, maternity / paternity leave, etc. that make The BOSS Group unique.
Health insurance premiums are too high. No holiday or PTO until you worked for 6 months. So now pay if a company is closed for holidays.
As a ‘talent consultant’, I was not privy to benefits that employees would receive. Talent do not receive paid vacation days or sick days. You do receive paid holidays, but only after 1500 worked (I believe). Health benefits are deducted weekly from weekly payroll. It’s doesn’t appear the Group subsidizes very much and majority of the costs is passed on to the worker. I also believe there isn’t matching funds for 401(k)
Company match is low compared to other places I have worked. Health isn’t the best. You do get unlimited PTO, which can be a good thing if you are at all your goals. Honestly I feel pressured to not take more than what is usually given at companies which is two -three weeks. The only good thing about it is if I have to leave early I can if I’m at my goals for the week and I can do so with confidence and not feeling terrible.
Good amount of vacation, and monthly cell and bus reimbursement.
They just switched their benefits a little bit for 2017. Although I'm not super familiar with all the options (still under 26, so I'm still on my parents' plan), I know they improved their maternity leave as well as added paternity leave options. They also switched to an unlimited PTO plan. Also, they always had summer Friday's (leave at 3pm) between Memorial Day and Labor Day-- but in September of 2016, the heads of the company decided to extend summer Friday's indefinitely! So, year round, everybody leaves the office at 3pm on Friday's.
Best is that you get more federal holidays than typically allotted and your birthday and anniversay off! Also, the PTO you don't use carries over to the next year.
The best thing is that benefits are offered, the worst thing is that the benefits, well, they arent the best.
pretty basic comp package- good benefits
The BOSS Group's benefits are great, they are through Blue Cross Blue Shield and are easily accessible. They also offer a 401K that I was able to take advantage of. The Benefits administrator, Jessie, is helpful, funny and approachable with any questions you might have. In general, benefits are benefits, but the best part of the BOSS Group's benefits is Jessie being my go-to contact person. She is great!
