Great benefits when I started working at Drug Abuse Alternatives Center (DAAC). However after the "Partnership" between Center Point and DAAC, benefits diminished and perks disappeared altogether. Health care plan changed making more out of pocket costs for the employees. Retirement plan was adequate, but there seemed to be a reduction in contributions to my account. Sick time or PTO was reduced significantly from a very generous packet to 3 days a year. Vacation packet was still fairly decent for all who were there before the change in management. New employees' received modified and less generous plans.
No perks other than the norms, no 401K
None of the benefits begin until you've served 3 months of your sentence. Benefits for employees are costly and very basic. Benefits for Senior Management and family members who are not employees are great. Lousy vacation and sick day policy. EVERYONE, salaried exempt and hourly -except for top 4 management, punches a time clock. You are assigned a specified-time 30 minute lunch break. While ED and VP are having their lunch in the kitchen/break room, staff is not allowed to enter the room for any reason. Employees have to contribute to a "sugar/milk/coffee" fund if they drink the coffee - except for the ED and VPs who use government funding to pay for their groceries they have at lunch.
