The benefits are good, but you have to work full time to get them.
If you are part-time, you literally get no benefits except for accumulated sick days.
Adjuncts do not really get any benefits unless you work for the state full time.
Much is assumed about your own knowledge of health insurance and admin is very buddied up with investment, ins companies often pushing impossibly expensive ins like disability care.
If you are part time and teach 9 credit hours between two different higher ed systems within the state you qualify for benefits, CCSU participates in this
The best thing about the benefits package at CCSU is the paid vacation days with the occasional free lunch :)
