As of Jan 2016, health insurance annual deductible has risen from $500 to $1000. There are two medical insurance options available. Delta Dental (dental insurance) and EyeMed (vision vision) covered a good amount with low employee contribution.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Laboratory Technician in Thousand Oaks, California

I loved my time at Charles River Laboratories, I only wish there was more room to grow in my particular position, maybe I would have stayed.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Animal Care Technician in Chicago, Illinois

It is decent, but a lot of medications are not covered by the insurance. Hospital bills can be rough because of the high amount you have to pay before insurance starts covering emergency visits.
