Charming Charlie offers employee discounts.
Terrible health coverage, costs a lot out of pay check and more out of pocket. No 401(k) even though they promised to bring it back after bankruptcy. Paid time off is ok but no overtime or compensation for working holidays at all.
There are higher benefits depending on your title. Your bonus check is taxed and you only get a bonus if you meet at least 90 or 95% (I can't remember which) of your monthly sales goal.
Part time positions do not qualify for benefits; except, parking pass.
The employee discount is now 40% off, which is awesome. It can’t be applied to clearance items, which definitely makes sense.
It has been a great place to work at. The staff were very kind and helpful, I highly recommend working for the company.
Employees get 25% off on regular price purchases and sometimes ( on rare occasions) it gets bumped up to 40% off. What sucks is that you can't use the coupons they have in store for the customers which tend to be better than the actual employee discount. You also cannot combine your 25% off with any in-store promo's going on, if an item is on sale you do NOT get a discount on it.
Working as a part time employee, I did not receive any form of a benefits package. I was, however, able to request off days needed and get those days off, willing that I requested it well ahead of time or got coverage from a coworker. There was also a 20% discount on products, but we did not get to use coupons.
At the time no benefits were offered to me. Probably because I was a seasonal employee because I was in college at the time. They did give me a day off when my grandfather died but they were very pushy for me to return after the one day they did give me off.
Lots of options to choose from
