    Good, getting better every year. Would be nice if they added on extras. This years insurance is much better than last years. I hope that continues.

    Cherwell offers both PPO and HMO health plans through Aetna. Dental coverage is provided by Delta Dental.

    Has been a struggle hopefully the changes are much better but United before Aetna was a nightmare.

    The benefits offered at Cherwell provide a well-rounded compliment of healthcare, dental and vision benefits. Beginning April 1, 2016, Cherwell now offers employees a dental buy-up option and a vision buy-up option to the existing base plans. This allows employees more choices when it comes to how they wish to cover their families at affordable group rates. Cherwell has also increased its company-paid group term life insurance from just $50,000 all the way up to $200,000 depending on your salary. To supply families with additional life insurance coverage, Cherwell has increased the guaranteed insurability for employees at $150,000 and $25,000 for spouses. This means an employee can obtain additional life insurance at affordable group rates without answering any medical questions. - Julie Rich, CPO

    Horrible high deductible. 10k for a family in network.

    Cherwell has a HRA ( health reimbursement arrangement) program that was designed to offset the costs for in and out of network deductibles. The in network deductible is $5,000 per person or $10,000 per family. Once an individual satisfies at least $2,500 of their deductible in the plan year, Cherwell will match them the other $2,500. So you could actually say that your deductible is really only $2,500 for plan year. Additionally, on our PPO health plan the deductible only has to be satisfied for in/out patient hospitalization charges (surgery, procedures, durable medical equipment). The remainder of your services are charged at a copay. Our copays haven’t gone up in 2 years.
