I have no complains about the retirement plan. I expect it'll be in jeopardy because of the costly pensions from high ranking older employees that get a very hefty pension.
Chicago Public Schools offers great pension plans and partners with other companies who provide additional benefits, provided employer pays into the program.
Pension will probably be bankrupt by time I get there. Corrupt system.
The best thing about the retirement plan is that there are so many to choose from. There is a pension program, but also, CPS uses different companies who actually come to the school to talk with you about your retirement goals and to help you plan for your future.
The best is you are able to go to outside vendors and get an additional plan.
