“The options are nice. The increase in price each year is frustrating.”
“You accumulate PTO weekly but vacation and PTO hours are synonymous, not two separate accumulations. The amount you earn depends on years of employment.”
“Great benefit and this is continuously adjusted and monitored by TIAA at the current time. Easy to learn about and make appointments for advisors.”
Great health insurance. Needs better maternity leave for a children’s hospital.
They offer a range of tiered medical plans with HSA or FSA options so you can choose what is best for you and your family.
good benefits fixable work balance
Maternity/paternity leave is sorely lacking.

With flue season in full swing and Covid also starting to increase. Winter sure is gonna be brutal, at least it’s starting to look like it at our hospital. How is your hospital looking? Have you seen an increase, about the same or more Vers the other?
So, I started watching “Limitless” with Chris Hemsworth. Apparently, he found out he carries both genes for dementia which puts him at a higher risk. So the series is about him changing things in his life for longevity. The third episode is about fasting and he fasts for 4 days until the day he has to hunt for his food. Does anyone in healthcare have thoughts on this type of fasting? I know it is done in some cultures and religions, but to what extent?

Anyone working at UHN? In orientation, I heard a host saying we can get 10% off at Apple Store by showing our employee badge. But when I am contacting Apple telesales, they say we don’t get such 10% discount. I could see the Apple discount page on the Intranet but it only has 2-3% discount on iPhone 13 or previous models. Anyone working there for a long can confirm please? Looking to get an iPhone 14 Pro. University Health Network
