It seems partners are much more flexible with associates who have kids than with those who don’t. If it’s okay for my colleague with a kid to leave at 5 pm and log on later, why isn’t that the same for me (no kids)? My obligations might be different, but I still have a life and want to be able to do certain things, like catch that evening workout class or cook dinner for my partner. As you can probably tell, my firm is operating 100% in person. There is no point here — I’m just whining.

Interested to know since this is rarely done, but what is your salary/state/position (__ year associate, etc.)/practice area? I see salaries posted far too often without any context. Surely everyone on here isn’t biglaw in NYC, Miami, LA, etc. Where are all the normal folks at?

Great benefits and fair pay and PTO
Benefits are overall good. Decent PTO, option too work from home or in office. Gym membership reimbursement is very limited and doesn’t include many options (yoga, Pilates, spin, etc). Salary increases annually could be higher and based on merit instead of standard 2%
Good benefits after 90 days of employment.
100% Employer covered health insurance costs. Flexible work from home and in office options. Above market rate compensation for entry level positions. 401k match.
Quarterly events, PTO, work from home days for in-office positions, great health care, gym reimbursement.
