Employer Summary

401(k) Plan - Chubb Capital Accumulation Plan (CCAP)

  • Chubb automatically enrolls eligible new hires in the CCAP plan with a 4% pre-tax contribution. 
  • You may change your election at any time.
  • Elect pre-tax and/or after-tax contributions.
  • If you are over age 50, you can contribute catch-up contributions up to an additional $6,000 pretax (indexed annually)
  • Eligible to voluntarily defer on the first of the month after completing one full month of employment.
  • You may voluntarily contribute up to 50% of pay; $18,000 IRS limit (indexed annually) on pretax.
  • Chubb matches up to 4% ($1 for $1 based on actual deferral) of pay on pretax basis, credited each pay period for the match.
  • Vesting occurs after 3 years of Chubb service.
  • CCAP currently offers 29 investment options.

    They have a 401K plan and a core 401K plan that works like a pension. They only match half of your contribution which is less than my previous job.

    We used to see the company's contribution in every paycheck. Since ACE bought Chubb it is not distributed until the end of the year, which means the company gets to earn the interest on it instead of the employee.
