matching funds up to 3 % for employees that are vested in the program for more than five years, leaving prior to vestment in 401 K would just take what the employee had contributed by themselves
They don't contribute ANYTHING. It's all up to their underpaid employees. You can only make adjustments to your 401K contributions once a year, and it's only for like a day.
They do not contribute at all, and you have to pay for the company they use (a yearly fee) to manage your money.
Again, this is a plan that has no matching portion offered to the workers, what you put in is what you get out of it. No incentive by the company to get you to participate or feel good about your job. They only offer it because they work with the government and its a contract requirement.
Same fee is charged whether you have $500 or $50,000 in your 401(k). It doesn't pay to start 401(k) since the fee eats up a lot of what you put in.
