Good health insurance. The vacation and PTO package is pretty good. Generally you get the end of December off.
High deductible for anyone who lives outside of MA; Do not contribute to 403b until 1 year of employment, and then only contribute 3% on a quarterly basis. They claim "merit pay increase" but my experience was being provided with a generic 2% annual increase.
Great healthcare coverage. I was able to get some dental work as well.
The best thing is that health care is free. Vision insurance costs extra, but was very minimal. Your students loans are put into forbearance. There is an opportunity to get food stamps.
Excellent vacation/personal time and competitive 403B contribution!
I only know about benefits based on what employees told me. I was an unpaid intern. Travel expenses are not paid for and time off is great after working for number of years
The best thing about the benefits package at Citizen Schools is the annual professional development stipend for all permanent, full time employees
Heslth insurance deductibles were too high for the amount you were making
As a part time employee, I did not receive a benefits package. Therefore, there is nothing to share for this review.
For an entry level Americorps job, the benefits are one of the best things about this job. There's decent dental and vision, and a really good health insurance plan that I'm pretty sure they subsidize. A t-pass would have been nice, but I can't complain too much.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
