Great PPO and generous time off
There really isn't an affordable " benefit package" for part time employees.
The insurance was inexpensive and the time off during winter break or spring break (depending on your union) was great.
Administrators only pay about 15-20% of their benefit cost. This is very generous and extremely attractive to potential job seekers in higher education.
Really hard to get anyone in the benefits department to answer any questions. There's a lot of mandatory participation, which doesn't seem fair.
Pay could be more additional hours during the break
It is okay. There is no 401k. Instead they have a pension plan. You can not later change the type of pension plan you want. Once you select it it is set in stone. Please select wisely.
Health insurance and union dues are super high and the health insurance has a $3000 deductible for a single plan. Dental coverage basically covers two cleanings be prepared to pay for anything else yourself.
The best thing was working with the teachers and managers.
Terrible. The SURS package is absolute garbage. No one can live off of that, which is why no one ever retires.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
