Comprehensive Health plan, reviewed and adjusted regularly, rising time off plan, mediflex benefit.
Tempe offers a fantastic sick time and vacation leave package as well as a platinum level health plan. The only reason that I'm not granting five stars is that the City does not offer paid paternity/maternity leave.
Hourly, part time positions don't really have benefits
Lifeguards do not receive benefits.
I worked part time I didn't have benefits
I appreciate Mediflex: a savings account into which the City puts up to $650 annually. It can roll over each year and can be used to reimburse the employee for out of pocket medical costs (copays, deductibles, etc.).
They have different levels of health benefits that if you're single and don't have any big medical problems is free to you. They have I thinks its a 457 retirement plan along with a 401K. Not to mention everything else you get for being an employee of the city
