WE get a good amount of sick days
Get a lot of days especially after 5years+
Sick leave is provided. Staff encouraged to use sick days when ill or to tend to a sick dependent.
This is one of the best things about the school district, you are given a good amount of sick time

There are plenty of sick days for most employees; however, if a major medical event like severe injury, cancer, prolonged hospital stay causes you to exceed your sick leave, you better get your FMLA approved and in place or they will terminate. Although FMLA legally protects your job, it will not protect you from being harassed and bullied by your administrators when you return
One receives no sick days as a substitute teacher.
Since I am a long term substitute, I don't have paid sick days. If I'm sick and I can't come to work, I don't get paid. I need to get certified in order to get these benefits.
