Excellent health and dental benefits. 401k plan was phenomenal and the best schedule any working parent could ask for.
Teh best thing about working in Clay county is the team of amazing teachers. Luckily, teachers do not get into this profession for the money. Salary and benefits are lower than average for the education and experience levels as other fields.
The best thing would be the health initiatives. The worst things are the coverage and price for adding family members. Almost an $900.00 a month to add family of any size on.

Two Health Insurance options, HMO or Choice Plus PPO, dental, vision, etc. Discounts for various gym memberships, Choice HSA plan. The copays are reasonable and the premiums are ok for the employee but very expensive if you have to cover a spouse or family.
Limited health care. Used to be decent, but we keep losing benefits due to cost saving measures which is funny because the price of the coverage keeps going up as well.
Benefits for SDCC are the worst insurance you will ever have. Outrageously exspensive, super high deductibles and poor communication from insurance department. Everytime you go to the doctors office be prepared to hear "this is the worst insurance we've ever seen!"

Health care benefits package is well out of reach for most employees (close to $900 per month) - especially for a family plan. Retirement has been modified substantially - it's still a reasonable retirement, but make certain to do a 403b investment plan to help supplement.
