again, standard 401...or is it 404? I'm not sure. Either way, it's designed to work hand in hand with your IPP.

Since the Clinic is a non-profit entity, instead of having a 401K we have a 403B. When I started working here over 20 years ago, our pension benefits packages changed several times, and, of course, not to the employees benefit. PTO was reduced, many people were grandfathered in under the old plan, so we always had a week more than other employees who may have been hired just weeks later - even though they were promised a certain number of days, they lost that week. The Clinic also had many different divisions, and the pension plan changed several times, as the "name" of the division was absorbed into the main clinic, we started over in accruing the years/age of the percent being matched. Based on my age and years of service, under the old pension plan I should have been given a higher amount. That was not grandfathered in when everything was switched to the 403B. When hired, a projection of my retirement amount was double what I will receive based on all the changes.

Exemplary, in essence to the overall long-term benefits.
