only about 3 months is available, this needs to be improved by Cleveland clinic
not available if you havent been here for a year
Again it's more PTO than anything, but If I recall correctly women get 4 weeks of paid maternity, and I do believe new dads get 2 weeks, but don't quote me. My kids were all older by the time I started here, so it's not really my wheel house.
Haven't used it, but my colleagues said it was a great benefit
Maternity leave falls under short term disability - if you qualify. You have to be full time and there at least one year and even then you only get 60% of your pay for 5-7 weeks depending on your delivery. If you have PTO saved up you can use it to fill in the gaps. As one of the best health care systems in the world we should be setting the standard for maternity leave. More time with baby = more time to nurse and healthier happier mom and baby.
Need to offer full 12 weeks paid instead of 6 weeks paid at 75% and extra 6 weeks unpaid.
6 weeks FMLA paperwork non paid
Plenty of nurses I worked with were able to go on their maternity leave and come right back as if they had never left.
They gave the standard 12 weeks at 70%.
You get the 6 weeks, but may take up to 12.
