I have to use PTO on holidays that do not fall under my religion and also have to use those vacation days on my holidays. My supervisor gave me no other options
There are times that they can deny giving vacation or paid time off based on staffing. If you work in a department with low number of employees to begin with, it can be hard.
You get a lot of it but I feel like I can barely use it
vacation and paid time off accrued with time worked.
You receive a certain amount of PTO hours per pay check. Sometimes you don't get the days off you request if they don't have enough coverage. If you call out sick, your PTO automatically gets used.
PTO program is is substantial, particularly at management level.
For every 8 hours that you work, you only get 7 hours PTO.
You get a good amount of PTO with every pay period, however due to understaffing it can be difficult to take time for vacation or even an illness.
Paid time off is akrewed with hours worked. It's fair. Most mangers are pretty good with approving vacations and PTO.
