Insurance package is very comprehensive. There are several options, including Colonial Life's own supplemental benefits. Premiums are relatively low. Medical carrier service is not the best, but not bad. Dental is very good. The best of all is the 401K match program. I don't know many companies in the Columbia market that come close to their match and defined contribution.
You have access to a bunch of plans/policies but no match from company, you pay all of it. No discount either.
As an insurance company you would think they would have more to offer. After you hit 10k in premium they offer a $10,000 Term Life policy and you can buy up if you desire however, you are paying for it. All ancillaries are available to you at a lower rate but you have to enroll during their enrollment period (which is typical, I guess). Other than that nothing else is offered.
You have access to their individual plans
What benefits? If you don't sell anything you don't get paid.
Only $10,000 in life insurance. No discounts on policies
No benefits, everything is all commission based as well. If you’re good with sales then this is the job for you
It is 1099 so savings and taxes are dependent on you. You are allowed to purchase any of the products that Colonial sells, which in my opinion, is the best on the market.
The best thing is you own the insurance, so you may port it if you leave. The worst thing is if you're just a 1099 contractor, the supplemental/voluntary insurance is all you get--of course, with no employer contributions.
They do not give you a discount on their products as an employee. Vacation time off is average. They encourage you not to take sick days.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
