Great benefits, 401k match. Poor management and company culture.
Great benefits: Salary, Health, Vision, Dental, supplemental etc... 401k, unlimited PTO within reason, generous holidays, performance bonuses and annual bonuses
Great 401K program (flat contribution of 2%, plus 1:1 match up to 4% with no vesting period). Okay medical, dental, vision. Interesting niche benefits, like heavily subsidized medical tourism for certain procedures -or- 2 weeks extra vacation the year of service anniversaries in lieu of award gifts. Still offers benefits that other companies tend to neglect, like free STD at 100% for salaried exempt, free LTD at 60%, and complimentary life/AD&D insurance. Paid leave still exists in 'buckets' with 11 holidays (2 employee choice), vacation dependent on tenure (2-4 weeks), and other leave paid types like bereavement, jury duty, etc.
Adequate health insurance partially subsidized by employer, 401K match a bit stingy at 6%, PTO very inadequate unless legacy employee with long tenure, no stock purchase plan, no matches for ongoing charitable donations/volunteer hours outside of those sanctioned by company now and then.
Overall benefits are poor at best. The best thing offered is 2% defined contribution and 100% match 4% 401k withholding, but no telling how much longer that will last. The annual healthcare increase in cost is passed through to the employees plus extra cost for what is below par healthcare benefits. Extras that most employee centric companies offer do not exist at CommScope. The annual bonus use to keep employees, but the payout for qualifying employees below executive is poor if at all and people are leaving for companies where their hard work and experience are valued.
Does not meet the industry standard.
least amount offered for employee
Best is 401k Worst is the health insurance.
You basically have two options for health insurance. One is Kaiser, which is known garbage. The other is United, which offers a low copay after a HUGE deductible. Multiple thousands of dollars huge. You accrue PTO at a rate of minutes per work day. Each week will net you two hours, at most. You'll be fine, as long as you never get sick and never need to leave the office.
Worst thing is Arris employees lost good benefits due to the CommScope acquisition, such as reduced PTO, higher health insurance premiums, no ESPP. Best thing is 401k match.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
