Health insurance they don’t give you many options and the deductibles are gettin higher.
It is better than private sector
Medical, dental, vision, perks from managed care (discounts on gym, smoking cessation, etc.,...).
Extremely costly and getting worse every bargaining period with less and less coverage.

Great health plan however it should be available to ALL retirees
You can't add your spouse to the insurance plan if her/his work place offers insurance (even if their plan is horrible and barely covers anything)
If you choose the premium PPO package, you do have to pay an upgrade fee, but this can be offset by participating in the Get Healthy program yearly.
There will be three plans offered this coming year. Two PPO and one HMO - for the most part, employees are on their own to figure it all out.
