In The department that I work in, according to the handbook after full-time employment for two years your paid vacation time is supposed to increase from 1 weeks paid vacation to 2weeks paid vacation. The only problem is is that in the handbook it is based on the fiscal year, not on your higher anniversary date. So what this actually means is if you are hired on The last day of September then you wait two years and one day and you start getting your two weeks vacation accrual. But if you were hired on the first day of October, just one day later you have to wait until October 1 of The third year of employment to receive the same benefit of a man/woman that was hired only ONE DAY before you were. This is not a fair policy and it should be changed to be calculated on Anniversary of your hire date. No I have not actually read all of the handbooks from each department that the compass group has, there may be departments that this is not an issue, but in my department it is.
