    Vacation Time and Paid Holidays is outstanding. They really do a great job ensuring employees have ample time for Christmas, although there is a strong expectation that you stay connected on any vacation and holiday. Depending on your supervisor, flexible work arrangements are easy to come by, although some departments have indicated this is not the case. The biggest challenge Concordia faces is its benefits plan. Because they are associated with a very conservative church body, maximum effort is made to ensure the health plan is grandfathered in under the Affordable Care Act, which causes insurance rates to be quite high. Annual increases in benefits are passed on to the employee, which eats up any potential cost of living raise one might receive.

    Poor communication and administration of benefits. Onboarding procedures were non-existent. If you wanted to find information out, you had to go looking for it which required multiple conversations with multiple people to get answers.
