The 401k seems well-managed and 6% company match after two years is also good. Vacation is up to 3 weeks so good for NYC businesses but still behind some of the more progressive tech companies.

The chef made free food was a good perk.

I negotiated what I think to be a fair salary + benefits when the company was desperate for digital candidates, so not sure how applicable this will be to all.

The benefits were great, they weren't too expensive and they covered you when you went to the Dr. I only had to pay a small co-pay which is nothing compared to other jobs.

Very generous benefits, great health plan, and strong retirement with matching funds. Health savings plan and transit check. Legal plan also available, discounts to magazines and a range of consumer goods, free museum memberships, in-house sales of of merchandise the editorial departments accumulate, sold at fraction of retail prices.

Before I could become vested in the pension plan they changed the program and I was no longer eligible for the benefit.

Good standard benefits offering. The most exciting part is a $500 spending allowance for fitness activities.

Solid choices for medical and flexible spending accounts for commuters. Reimbursement for gym memberships up to $500 which is great!
