All of the benefits and the ability to afford the insurance
Great perks especially if work location/residence is in Greensboro. Vacation and sick leave is in one accrual pot-Paid Annual Leave (PAL). Accrual is fair. Health/Vision and Dental is good and 401k is fair.
Health insurance isn't the greatest (especially for a health system). Vacation days are accrued each check. It takes a long time to stack them up. Holidays are included in your vacation days so you have to make sure that you have those saved up.
Best is the employee pharmacy's. Worse is the cost of the insurance.
Company partners with many companies to offer discount programs and savings to employees; health insurance allows access to all Triad Healthcare Network providers; vacation time accrues over time, takes a while to build up
Vacation plan was great and so was the prescription plan.
Best: 25 days of PAL for chaplain residents! Mental health coverage for counseling. Errand Solutions is a great program to assist hospital employees with work/life balance, they will drop off/pick up your dry cleaning, get an oil change in your car, etc. Errand Solutions also provides movie tickets and local ticket events at a discount. Worst: On a low stipend of 28,500, having insurance costs taken out every paycheck feels expensive. The employee discounts through local businesses are not that good.
Decent overall benefits. However, have to use Cone facilities and practitioners which is not always convenient or desirable. Insurance was 80/20 making a hospital bill payment pretty high sometimes. Raises were hard to come by. Enjoyed a decent 401k and 403b.
I don't get many benefits because I work PRN.
Good medical and prescription benefits. Retirement benefits have improved. No changes to dental benefits in several years. Paid time off isn't great when you first start but improves the longer you stay.
