Vacation time is available but whether or not you get to use it is another story altogether.
Yes you get a lot of time off
They black out dates. You need to plan 30 days ahead. Then they still have the right to refuse. I've even been refused sick time because I didn't "give enough notice". Like anyone actually plans to get sick 30 days in advance. Like "I'm sorry Mr. Manager, I can't work this week next month because I'll be in the hospital for a swollen uterus that has medical staff absolutely baffled with no indication on WHY it's swollen".
It's fair. You start earning time starting from your 60th day.
You can schedule a vacation and they will take it away from you without prior notice.
All vacation must be used and can't roll over. You have to be employed for 10+ years just to get 4 weeks vacation.
Pay well for a commission based job
You get more time the long you are with the company, 1 week off at 1 year, 2 weeks at 2 years, 3 weeks at 5 years, 4 weeks at 10 years. You get personal holiday days for every year you are with the company (3 days every year) and you will be given an extra personal holiday for working on Thanksgiving night, for a total of 4. Blackout on using those days are the same as in every retail store (November and December), and if you are sick or somebody dies, you will be viewed as a liar.
They have so many blackout dates and rules about taking time off your almost incintevized to just "get sick" and use your vacation. They won't even allow you to buy out remaining days/weeks. You need a Lunar calander, protractor and some smoldering sage to figure out how you can take your days off. You have to take x amount of days at a time but NO more than y. If a different store has people on vacation, then somehow it can effect your time. The squeaky wheel will ALWAYS win so be prepared to fight for what is owed to you
The worst I have ever seen. Terrible work life balance.
