It's a small company so your insurance will typically be higher than if you worked at a larger place. Was there for years and the medical insurance kept going up with no value added to benefits.
The company offers health insurance, which is great, but it isn't the best package out there. The dental option is not insurance, it is a discount plan, as is the vision option. Did not have any problems with mid-day appointments as long as projects were taken care of. Work from home options based on your tenure/employment level.
Benefits and compensation were okay - requesting/being permitted time-off was another story. They were very discriminatory about individuals taking time-off and were not forgiving when it came to needing to make daytime appointments, had a sick child, or a child who had the day off from school when you didn't have the day off (Columbus Day, etc.). More than once it was requested that I come in on a previously accepted day off.
Did not participate because it was a poor plan and a lot of money. The dental package would have been the only one I would do but it's not accepted everywhere.
No vision insurance. Office closes one week in summer and over Christmas, which means little PTO flexibility. No WFH allowed.
No dental benefits are included in the healthcare plans.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
