I like the options that are given. All insurance types are available.
Unlike most public schools they do NOT CONTRIBUTE or take part in the awesome SC PEBA State Benefits & Retirement Program. They offer something instead, but it's not for retirement and it's very expensive. They may say they give you the same thing, but if they do, it's at a much higher price. They aren't from SC and do not care about SC retirment, etc.
You have to be there for 4+ months or permanent
The company provides full benefits at an affordable rate. However the company the go through for healthcare (Cigna) has very high co-pays.
Great package and has improved each year.
Full medical and dental. State teacher's retirement at some schools.
cigna...when they moved to cigna, the changes in the coverage were crap...Co pays went from 20 to 40 bucks...so disappointing! BCBS was awesome
Cigna and HR's response to benefits issues
Callers plus an optional 401k with matching. Nice health care package. Not much PTO.
