Benefits are pretty average/ standard. United healthcare is pretty good. Three tiers to choose from. 401k after a year. Ad&d insurance.
The benefits are not beneficial
Pay increases are 2%, no bonuses, medical deductibles and premiums are expensive. New employers are brought in at a much higher salary than tenured staff.
401k and PTO are excellent and Generous - I do not participate insurance
Poor coverage very expensive they contribute very little towards benefits.
Uniform Allowance- $250 for buying first time, $150 afterwards every year.
$250 copay, honestly not a fan of the benefits package, doesn't really go well with the dangerous job this is. but its whatever i guess
Good Place Good Benefits Good Pay
CoreCivic offers only one major medical insurance provider, United Health Care, which comes in 3 tiers of coverage, so good luck getting the coverage you need and keeping it affordable. CoreCivic also has dental and vision insurance. They have a descent 401K plan that will match your contributions up to 5%. You also have options for long term disability, life insurance, the list goes on. Personal time off varies by the contracting agency. But for the most part you start with about 14 days of personal time, plus 10 paid holidays. CoreCivic rarely offers any perks to non security staff. However, if your a Corrections Officer you can volunteer at other facilities and make some extra cash.
The health insurance rate is ridiculous and deductibles have sky rocketed. There is only one insurance provider, which is United Health Care.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
