Medicare, vision, dental, 401K. The best thing is that you get benefits, the worst thing about it is that they are expensive to acquire.

My job was Temp so I did not receive benefits. However, they do have some kind of medical insurance package that I did not participate in.

Pension plan calculates you r retirement income by diving highest paid salary for a consecutive three years divided by 36 months.

I felt that County management and labor representatives do not negotiate with health insurance providers for fair premiums. County workers bore burden of high co-pays, premiums, out of pocket costs but for less services. I found people with public paid insurance with better benefits than i could get for me and my family.

Both a Pension plan, and a retirement plan. Also the health insurance options the County of San Diego offer is very good.

Worst-limited health insurance choices and very expensive plans except for Kaiser. Employee out of pocket monthly premiums higher than private sector and other comparable counties in California.

Excellent benefits package including paid vacation, holidays and sick leave.

not enough vacation time, but good pension. If you're happy with doing a minimal amount of work and having limited vacation time in exchange for a safe and well-funded retirement, you're set.
