I'm excited to work somewhere that has a Pension Plan. Between the employee contribution, Social Security, and my personal choice to contribute to my 457, my actual paycheck is very small. But I'm excited about retirement!
Pension benefits are higher than other counties or companies.
3% at 50 years of age for employees hired before 2015
Have to stay for the long haul for it to pay off.
Very competitive with private companies. Staff was very well informed and helpful with regards to financial and retirement planning
Locally funded (not PERS), but does not offer COLA's to retirees
