Covance grants paid time off and leaves of absence.
a 20 word minimum is absolutely crazy to discuss vacation and PTO..it is fine, at market for a company of this size and reasonable managed and coordinated
20 PTO days from first date of hire that is accrued per paycheck.
21 days to start with for PTO. Cannot carryover much PTO from year to year. No sick leave.

They are lenient, and if you need to call in for any reason, they will have you covered. They also have flex time, for instance if you work 40 hours and want to take a vacation day on a Friday, you dont have to use PTO. You start out with 21 days. After 3 or 5 years, not sure, you get a few more days..
You only get 20 days a year... for everything! Vacation, sick time, personal days. No life balance at all!
It was a decent amount of time that you were given but it was combined with your sick days.
