“Great (no premiums, low OOP) until 1/2022, then middle of the road premiums and high OOP”
“Very flexible and supportive of WFH”
“4% match, company automatically sets this up for you”
Good: 401k match, adaptable PTO, great office, stock purchase plan Bad: old-fashioned health care starting in 1/2022
CMM takes care of their employees (among many other ways….) through benefits offered, a great culture and ample opportunity to learn and grow. CMM is the most flexible work environment I’ve ever been apart of.
Truly flexible paid time off policy
Flexible PTO and work schedule is nice. Parental leave for McKesson is low.
Benefits used to be great under the old leadership. Company has definitely been changing and trying to cut back on benefits to save costs, basically entirely coming out of employees paychecks.
The benefits package at CoverMyMeds has changed this year to mirror its parent company (McKesson) package. This was a net negative in terms of cost for existing employees, but the package is pretty standard for large tech companies. Overall, it's as terrible as any other large US tech company package, with a couple of healthcare options to choose from. Vacation time is "flexible", which means you don't accrue time, you just "take what you need", which is good if you need it, but typically has the net effect of taking less than you should to stay healthy/sane. HR tries to make it sound good by calling it "Total Rewards" but it's really just a slew of silly add-on benefits leaving you saying "yeah, that's cool, but why am I paying so much out of pocket yearly when I literally work for a healthcare company that focuses on insurance benefits?" That we have been told "it's actually better than before" shows both how out of touch and disingenuous the HR staff is. I'm personally going to be spending $12k out of pocket this year more than last year, along with the iffy compensation they're already offering, and I don't know how that's "better" when the coverage is literally identical. Also, free lunches and snacks are available only if you work on site. There is no similar perk provided to remote workers. The HR and executive staff glorifies the culinary team, and it's truly off-putting to those who do not receive those perks.
We know benefits are an important and personal part of the employee experience here at CoverMyMeds, and our HR team is working hard to help each of us navigate the changes you described. We’re making these changes to offer all employees access to the same benefits, perks, and rewards. Some benefits will remain the same, and in other ways we’ll adopt different offerings and ways of doing things. For example, we’re excited to now offer tuition reimbursement, an employee stock purchase program, adoption assistance and a charitable donation matching program — in addition to voluntary participation in a Vitality program where you have the potential to earn points that can lower your premiums. If you have questions about how these changes impact you and your family, you can reach out to me or your HR business partner at any time. We’re all here to help make this your best place to work and grow. — Amanda Bailey, Director, Employee Experience
401k and Employee Stock Purchase plans are nice
The best thing about the benefits package at CoverMyMeds is flexibility and paid time off policies.
Heal insurance used to be good, now is not.
Used to be 100% employer paid by they just announced changes that will require employees to pay premiums and increases deductible for everyone.
We appreciate you taking time to provide open and honest feedback about the benefits we offer our employees. As we unify the strengths of each business as one team under the CoverMyMeds brand, it’s our priority to allow all employees to have access to the same benefits, perks, and rewards. That includes a variety of health, vision and dental coverage options — as well as 401K and a flexible PTO policy. We’re also excited to be able to offer new perks, including an employee stock purchase program, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, voluntary participation in a Vitality program and a matching charitable donation program. These are new additions to the total rewards package for all CoverMyMeds employees, and we’re excited about the expanded offerings.
