Hours are flexible, but the hours that you give them are not abided by at all. If you tell them you can't work more than 8 hours a day due to your schedule, they'll give you an 11 hour shift anyway. They also cut down your hours, or give you no hours for weeks at a time because they can't figure out how to manage their employees properly.
See the general statement. It discusses the general status of the flexibility of hours in the restaurant.
You can't make the whole schedule however you want but you can definitely tell your manager some restrictions you may have and they will understand, giving you that time off and working your schedule around.
They listen to your schedule and will accommodate you but if you ask off too often and then decide to get more hours you have to ask and it takes awhile for you to earn them.
Manager worked around my schedule as I requested,
It's a great place for students or anyone for that matter because you can fill out an availablilty form so they can schedule you when you can work.
The job has very flexible hours, but you must be sure to let your manager know in advance.
haven't really had too many probs. Don't really get very many hours but heck you won't get in too much troucly if something emergent comes up
Hours are reduced because management is always watching labor $$ Flexible hours for teens before or after school and sports
The GM tries her best, but so many people have inflexible schedules (due in part to so many of them being minors) that a lot of the time you can't get the days off that you need.
