3% match, vested over 5 years
Could improve matching and vesting schedules.
Match is .50 cents on the dollar up to 6% maxing out at a 3500 annual match. Match is deposited in a lump sum in the spring, if you leave before then during the given year then no match for that year. Vesting is over 5 years, 25% per year starting at year 2.
3% match vested over 5 years
50% contribution AFTER EACH 6 months. also after each 6 months only 25% of their contribution will be vested into your account.
3% match kicks in after 6 months, vests over 4 year period.
they do not match, and that is a big negative for me.
Matching is crazy. it is so difficult to understand what they match and when with vesting. not competitive.
They match half of your contributions up to 6% of your salary, with an annual cap of $3,500. This means you have to make a minimum salary of about $116k and contribute 6% to get the full match. Vesting happens over a 4 year period, 25% each year. You also have to be employed as of the last day of the calendar year for them to contribute any of the match for that year, which happens in Feb of the next year, e.g. If you worked there all of 2015, you'd get the employer contribution in Feb 2016. If you quit halfway through Dec 2015, you'd get no employer match for 2015.
They are contemplating on employee matching up to 50% with various conditions. What would make this an awesome plan is simply if they match dollar for dollar and vest every year
