The 401k plan is good. you can contribute as much as you want and the company does a good match towards the plan.
The company sets up a 401k for all employees at your hiring date.
I really like and benefit from that DISH does matching up to a specified amount of dollars per each year.
They use Fidelity investments, much like other companies do. It was neither great nor bad.
The match is very low and you are not vested for a full 5 years.
The company will only match $.50 per dollar up to 6% of the employee's annual salary up to $85,000 per year.
pretty weak employer match policy...
The company will contribute to your 401k if you sign up for it but they do not offer much assistance on the sign up, it is more trial and error.
