DOWL measures the time you are at work, not the time that you are away from work. The references to the "Admin Leave" policy is pointing out that we set goals for the year for each individual and within certain parameters we allow them to self-regulate their schedule as professionals. So, I guess that it is true that vacation time is non-existent for exempt employees. It is also infinite. We just don't measure or keep track of it.
The company cover a employees nearly 100%, but if you want to insure a spouse or child it gets very expensive
We concur. DOWL pays 100% of employees costs, and 40 to 50 percent of dependents. The overall split for DOWL contributions is that the company pays about 80 to 85% of the entire bill, and the employees pay about 15 to 20%. It varies year to year based on claims history.
Terrific benefits are offered at DOWL. The 401k contribution includes a direct contribution based on salary, profit sharing and matches employees contributions at 20%!
