I like that we are able to add more part-time hours if you would like to pick up extra shifts.

You can set your own hours at the beginning of the contract. After that, you need to give 20 days notice for time off.

Really as long as the time window corresponds to when the students are available (which is in the evening time in China) you are free to choose any time within that window. You are obligated to be in front of the computer even if you aren't teaching though and you aren't paid to do so. It is in the off chance that you get a short booking.

You are the captain of your contract hours. The company does initially suggest 5 days a week until the contractor adjusts to the workflow. However once a contractor is comfortable and confident, the company provides opportunities to work more than the contracted hours when the contractor wants or can. If you have a Saturday free and want to make yourself available you can. If you are not available the next week, no problem. Just work your contracted hours and enjoy being free to live life according to your personal schedule.

I wish I could teach past 8 a.m., maybe until 9, but hey--it's all good. I can always choose to teach a bit at night if I want.

They are very understanding about hours but you do have a contract so that is something to be considered.
