The benefits packages are very pricey...for only myself and now my daughter is on there also...over 300.00 a month. I feel it's way to much. Holidays and summer are the best 😉I really enjoy spending it with my entire family .The 401k it's OK.
Standard TRS for teacher retirement, District pays small amount for health insurance.
Medical is too expensive, most affordable package does not cover anything
Health insurance is expensive and with high deuctibles.
Health insurance is effective immediately, even though you have 30 days to complete documentation.
It's great because the District pays a portion of it.
Best is no holidays or weekends, Summer off
It was hard to find dentists that I wanted to go to that were in network, and the co pays were high for the price that we were paying. The good thing is that DISD contributed a great deal to our premiums.
Best- great time off, TRS pension Worst- health insurance premiums & copays.
WAAAAAAY EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!! And the benefits department is HORRIBLE!!!!!! They wont call you back or respond to emails...
