I applied for the job for a more "flexible" schedule... however, it came to light very quickly that there is NOTHING flexible about working from home. A matter of 30 minutes will cause reprimanding. You get less PTO because its "flexible" but you don't get approval for days needed off, to start late, leave early, or have an appointment. It is like you are being babysat; or an easy way to put it is micromanaged (not in a good way).
The ability to work from home while still feeling connected to DataFile is a huge plus. I have been remote for years, and really enjoy working for this company, especially as they continue to grow.
As soon as you go home, your pay decreases, no paid holidays so you either work the holiday, make it up on Sat. or lose the money. Less vacation time than in office employees yet you work just as hard or harder as they are enjoying fancy parties on company time or pot luck lunches talking the day away!
