Employees receive sick days but does look down on you for using them

I can only speak from experience. We had 3 snow days this spring of 2016. In our contract it states as a Paraprofessional your only paid for 2 snow days. I was forced to take 1 sick day to cover the now day. SO let me get this straight school was cancelled,out of my control, and I couldn't make it into work, so I have pay for it? Were is the logic in that?

Sick days means no work. No work means no pay. Unsalaried position.
