“Why bother? The health insurance is overpriced and they act like the company just handed you a piece of gold.”
Rolling time off, 401k option, healthcare and dental. Wonderful package overall for all full time employees
Decent benefit package for a hotel employer. 401k. Small discounts on food. When trying to use hotel discount online it would often return 'No available rooms at that rate' even during the week when its off-season. You can easily get the signatures needed and management can call and book you. I did not have PTO when working. If you requested a day off you simply didn't get paid for that day. Pretty middle of the road package.
Absolutely the worst “benefits” package. The “benefits” are so bad that Destination Hotels should just not offer benefits.
DH&R Offers full benefits. Medical, Dental, Vision, life, HSA, FSA. 401K with a match and fully vested instantly. Vacation for new employees are very little and with seniority they improve tremendously.
They match in their 401k and you are fully vested.
inconsistent delivery of management perks compared to other hotels in the area
best: discount at affiliated businesses. worst: the red tape human resources requires to get discounts. All other benefits require a year of employment.
Medical insurance was very good coverage.
Work life balance is non existant
No holidays off, no matter what team or department you are in! You must use your PTO in order to take any holiday (including the big ones). Plus, you only accrue PTO and sick time when you are working. Which means that even if you are salaried, you do not accrue any PTO or sick time while you are using it. This also means that you will never actually be able to accrue your maximum amount of PTO unless you never use it.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
